Lambert Park

 Leichhardt New South Wales

The historic Lambert Park has been the home ground of NSW Premier League side APIA
Leichhardt Tigers Football Club since 1954.

The NSW Government announced it will commit $2.2 million towards the
upgrade of Lambert Park in Leichhardt,  Barry O’Farrell announced.

“However, the Tigers’ home ground Lambert Park has sadly fallen into a state of
disrepair and the club does not have sufficient funds to cover the costs of a complete
upgrade. “I am pleased to announce that a NSW Liberals & Nationals Government will commit
$2.2 million to the upgrade of Lambert Park securing the venue for future generations
and establishing it as the home of football in the Inner West.”

The boutique Lambert Park will go through a transformation with the upgrade and will be propelled as the leading football complex in Australasia and ‘Centre of Excellence’ for football with the ‘Best in Class’ synthetic playing surface on offering and new footballing complex.

There are two major initiatives as part of the upgrade of Lambert Park;

  1. New Synthetic playing surface, (main pitch & warm up pitch), including new perimeter fencing, upgrading of lighting infrastructure and fixed seating
  2. New amenities building which will incorporate 2 additional new dressing rooms, toilets, storage and upgrade of existing administration centre
